Sorry for not keeping up.
Aloha, Was crazy the past few months. Work was terrible, My Uncle died, Needed to go to his funeral..... It was a
hard 2 months. I was in Okinawa from 06/08 - 06/13 and helped with my Uncle's 49 day prep. After that I was able to meet up
with old friends from my school days and had a blast. I'll be posting pics soon. Mahalo, Michael

Work is getting busy
Aloha, With the new plans for Hokulea Transportation, I've been pretty busy recently. Not making much money but
I guess you have to plant the seed in order to benefit from any new venture. Been working 12 hours a day trying to get this
off the ground. Advertising and marketing has been expensive and some have not panned out like I thought it would but we are
slowly growing. Haven't been running at all so I'm not sure how the marathon will go this year. trying to train as
much as I can but 12 hour work days leaves me with little time. I'll try to keep updating this blog as much as I can. Mahalo, Michael

Pulled my hamstring yesterday.
Aloha, Bummer day yesterday. I was jogging at a good pace and I felt a little pain in my hamstring. I tried to keep
the pace up but pain started to get worse and I needed to slow down. I think I may have pulled my hamstring the day before
working out with weights but didn't realize it until I ran. I'll continue to run but at a much slower pace until I
feel it's strong enough. On another note Kenji Mikami visited and I took pics so I'll post them later. We went
to Ka Iwi and Pearl Harbor. It was great to see him and his family. Especially his mom who thinks my dad looks like Douglas
MacArthur. Mahalo, Michael

Training continued
Aloha!
First just a heads up to Kenny and Mitsuru, I met Kumiko-san the other day and she looks just like her avatar.
She was working with the Honolulu Festival groups I believe because that was the big group coming in from Japan that day.
I was there meeting a honeymoon couple from Saudi Arabia.
Back to my training. I ran my first 13 miles on Friday
and it was a miserable day to run. The first hour was pleasant but then a rain storm came in. I didn't let up at all and
I was soaked. In that miserable weather it took me 3 hrs 9 min to finish the 13 miles. I think I can improve that time to
about 2 hr 45 min at 100g of carbs. It'll be interesting to see my body react to the new training. Will keep you updated.

Training and work updates
Aloha,
Alright, we just started advertising our "WIKI WIKI LIMO" program and had our first customer.
The schedule is hard on the driver but at least we are making money. Hopefully it will catch on more and keep us busy through
2009.
Now, my training has been of again on again because of the WIKI WIKI LIMO. I wasn't able to run for 1
week but did manage to get in the "Johnny Faerber 10k". Apparently only elite runners are in this because out of
212 runners I placed 190. My time was 1hr 6 minutes. It was a good experience since I got to run around Diamond Head and feel
the incline in the area. I felt strong even after the race and was able to work a 12 hour shift. My main goal is to keep improving
my time and stamina.

Michael
